Hey there!
So I learned something wild this month that I had to share with you.
You know how everyone's talking about AI these days?
Well, turns out 27% of Americans are already using it.
But here's the kicker - most of them are yet to fully comprehend it.
They just know they type something in, and somehow an answer magically appears.
It's like using a microwave without knowing it heats food with radiation. You get your hot leftovers, but you're completely in the dark about what's actually happening.
So, here are my 2 latest reflections about AI:
What I Learned This Month
People everywhere are saying "go use the AI" without really understanding what they're asking for.
I keep hearing this in conversations - there's this vague idea that AI will solve everything, but no real grasp of what it can and can't do.
Or more importantly, why you shouldn't just blindly trust whatever it spits out.
It's like giving someone a really smart calculator when they don't understand basic math.
What's Got Me Excited This Month
Here's what's really lighting me up lately: I'm finally seeing people connect dots they've been feeling but couldn't quite put into words.
You know that uneasy feeling when you wonder:
"What happens to all the stuff I'm putting into these AI tools?"
Or
"Am I becoming too dependent on this thing to think for me?"
The conversations I'm having now feel different. There's this recognition that we're at a turning point - not just with technology, but with how we protect ourselves, our ideas, and our ability to think critically.
It's not doom and gloom stuff. It's actually hopeful, because once you name the problem, you can start solving it.
The Bottom Line
We're not going backward on AI - that train has left the station. But we can be smarter about how we move forward.
Think of it like learning to drive. You don't avoid cars because they're dangerous. You learn the rules of the road, wear your seatbelt, and stay alert.
Same thing here.
What about you? Are you using AI tools? Do you ever wonder what's really happening behind the scenes?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Such a brilliant analogy, using AI really is like learning to drive; understanding the rules makes all the difference.
AI isn’t going away and will be part of our future. To date AI has been like the Wild West — little rules, go find your fortune. Civilization tamed the west with the establishment of norms and rule of law. The same can be said of AI. We need to make AI assessable by humans. If humans aren’t included in process, what kind of future are we building. With only 27% adoption, let’s harness it and solve real human problems for humans. Change the narrative and maybe adoption will follow.
